RideAware Worlds - Virtual Cycling Application

Overview

RideAware Worlds is a virtual cycling application designed to provide an immersive and data-rich training experience for cyclists of all levels. Leveraging real-time sensor data from cycling trainers and accessories, RideAware Worlds aims to create a dynamic and engaging simulation of outdoor cycling within the comfort of your own home.

This application is being developed using the Rust programming language to ensure performance, reliability, and cross-platform compatibility.

  • Interactive 3D Environments: Explore a variety of virtual cycling routes and landscapes.
  • Real-Time Data Integration: Connect to cycling trainers, heart rate monitors, and other sensors via Bluetooth and ANT+ to track performance metrics.

  • Multiplayer Mode: Ride with friends and other cyclists in virtual group rides.

Current Status

This project is currently on hold as available resources are allocated to other priorities. While development is not actively underway, RideAware remains committed to the long-term vision of RideAware Worlds. We intend to revisit active development as time and resources permit.
